Daily punishment reports, 1836-1846.

The series consists of one volume of daily reports describing punishments given to prisoners at Auburn during the years 1836 to 1846. Chapter 302 of the Laws of 1835 allowed assistant keepers at State prisons to punish prisoners at their discretion provided that they reported their actions in writing to the prison's agent or deputy keeper.
